ーNASAが設立50周年を迎えることを記念して、2008年2月4日米東部時間午後7時（日本時間5日午前9時）に北極星へ向けてこの曲が発信された。この日は、楽曲のレコーディングから40周年ということもあり、ポールは「NASAよくやった!異星人によろしく」と粋なメッセージをNASAに寄せた。また、オノ・ヨーコは「何十億もの惑星と交信する新しい時代の始まりを感じる」と伝えたという。ー
